The Journey Within

Get Excited & Stay Excited™! I have been doing a great deal of reading and soul searching here lately. Pretty much I have been taking a journey within myself and it has led me to have many “realizations” after dealing with internal turmoil for so many years. While I have not reached my destination, I have realized that I have to trust and accept that what God or the Universe has for me, is for me. I had to realize that there is a greater plan for my life. I had to realize that it is really time to begin my own journey of self-discovery. I need to connect with who I am now in this present so that I can embrace what I am experiencing and truly enjoy my life. In order to thrive and not just survive, I have to embrace my reality and learn to live a life of abundance.

As I was in deep thought, I picked up a book that I have been reading called “Walking With The WISE Entrepreneur” which is a collection of writings from many inspirational mentors and millionaires. One of the sections I read that inspired this message I’m sharing today was “Live The Life You Have Imagined” by Lynn Shepherd. Her section was very powerful and really made me examine myself and question myself if I was truly ready to live the life I have imagined. Here is an excerpt of what Lynn had to say:

The Journey Within

Wanting to do something and knowing how to do it are two very different things. To change my life, I realized I had to understand who I was now and how I wanted to live the rest of my life. I had spent a lifetime making a living and now I want to spend the rest of my life making a difference.

Shifting my perspective, I realized my entire life had been perfect. Every experience, good or bad, has created the person I am today. Don’t get me wrong, there are many lessons I would have preferred not to learn, but in hindsight, each one has contributed to my personal growth. I am a culmination of life experiences and this is my gift to share.

Becoming aware of my values and what I wanted, helped build the foundation on which all my decisions rested. Presented with choices, I immediately knew these choices would help or hinder my journey to living a life of abundance. This same process can be applied to the choices you make about your career, your relationships, your money or your health.

Are you ready to live the life you have imagined? I can tell you from personal experience, it is possible. This process will help guide you through whatever new chapter of life you might be experiencing.

Lynn was right with what she said. I do believe we have to know and BUILD the foundation where all of our choices are rested. If we do not have a solid foundation all that we do will crumble in life. We must have the courage to change, we must have the strength to become aware of who we are and make the choice to get up and do what is necessary to live the life we’re destined to live.

Taking The Journey Within

I know that my recent life experiences have made me realize that I hold all the cards and that if it is to be, it is up to me. I don’t know about you… but I chose to be successful, I chose to live a life full of happiness, wealth, prosperity and excellent health. I am ready to begin my journey within and truly discover who I am and HOW I am going to live the life I am meant to live. I must say I cannot wait to reach that destination… how about you?

Hi My Awesome Friend,

I have been receiving many emails, text messages, IM’s, comments and so forth asking Why I say Get Excited & Stay Excited! Protect Your Dreams At All Costs

Hi My Awesome Friend,

I was truly inspired this morning to share this message with you today in both video and with written words….

Protect Your Dreams At ALL Costs.

Do you have a dream which you would like to pursue? It can be anything, small dreams or big dreams…? Most importantly, my friend, HOW MUCH do you want this dream of yours? Ask yourself this important question… Are you doing whatever it takes to protect and hold your dream(s) as close as possible to yourself?

Don’t ever let someone tell you that you can’t do something. People often bring you down because they are down. Things in life you attract with the ways of your mind. Those things will be there to test you… to distract you away from your dream so that you will lose sight of what you desire and dream about most. But I’m here to tell you, my friend, When you want something… Go For It. I know that when you want something bad enough, you’ll do no matter what it takes to accomplish that. So apply that to protecting your dreams. Protect your dreams at all costs.

The most important thing that you can take away from this is that nobody has the power to take away your dreams unless you give it to them. So stop giving your power and your dreams away. Hold on tight to your dreams and never let them go…EVER… no matter what it takes.

Those dreams are YOURS and no one else’s.

Success is a Choice

Just the other day I was speaking with a lady who contacted me because she wanted to make a change in her life. She did not like where she was at– meaning her situation. This woman was working an outside job and had done a home business in the health & wellness industry. When I asked her how was her business doing or how did she enjoy it, she went on and on about why she wasn’t successful in that business. She began to list off her past situations, her current separation from her spouse and the fact that it was an one income household as reasons why she had not been successful. She also told me that the economy had also contributed to her lack of success as well as many other variables.

This is my important message to each and everyone of you reading my blog….

Success is a Choice

Yes, you heard me. Success is a CHOICE. Just like you choose to go buy a pair of shoes, or go to the grocery store, or to pursue a certain career– you also choose to be successful or not. We either make the choice or we don’t. We can only control the variables we have control over. There is no right or wrong.

The woman made up in her mind that she was not successful because of the different variables. Her main reason was because of her separation and lack of funds for tools.

I am here to tell you like I told her. That has NOTHING to do with her success. “She” is what is holding her back from her success. The variables are just that– variables. We can either work around them and through them or we allow them to overtake us. And that’s what she was doing… allowing her circumstances to dictate her success. As I tell people that I mentor, the “Me” factor will get in your way all of the time. You have to grow through personal development/ personal growth. It is all a mindset that must be changed. Success is a MINDSET. This is WHY we CAN control it.

All successful people started from nothing. All successful people went through ups and downs. But they chose to keep moving forward and kept focus on their goal of success and that’s why they are wealthy, that’s why they are successful, that’s why they are living a life of freedom that many of us will only sit there and fantasize about… Well I know I’m not fantasizing about it because I’m making the necessary steps in my life to obtain the success that I desire.

Take a look at Tony Robbins… his first “mega home” had a mortgage of $10,000,000 and you know what? He was just getting started in his career, mainly opening gigs and still speaking at other peoples’ events that he wasn’t hosting! His home sat completely unfurnished as he was struggling just to pay the bank each month on the house… And look at where Tony Robbins is today– 30 million dollars later…!

Here is my sound advice for you….

Focus on what you’re in control over – that’s WHAT YOU CAN DO— AND ALL YOU CAN DO. You, and only YOU can make the choice as to whether or not you’re going to be successful. No one else can make that decision.
No more excuses. As I mentor others, our saying is No Excuses, Just Results. So stop making EXCUSES!
Hold yourself accountable for everything. Whether it is good or bad. You must take responsibility for what you do and don’t do.
Make the choice that YOU ARE A WINNER and YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL…because YOU ARE– Get Excited!!
Most importantly, Successful people SQUASH negative thinking. They do not allow what others to say to enter their minds to hinder and dwell. They shun the “naysayers” and they laugh in the face of the unknown.

So…What choice are you making?
